Scammers often impersonate BDO using phishing emails, SMS messages, and look‑alike websites to steal your login details or one‑time passwords (OTP). Always verify the sender and avoid clicking unexpected links.

If you suspect fraud, act quickly: reset your online banking password, lock your card in the BDO app (if available), and contact official BDO support using numbers and channels you trust.

A common red flag is urgency—messages that pressure you to “verify” details, “unlock” an account, or “confirm” a transaction. Legitimate banks generally do not ask for your OTP or password through email, SMS, or calls.

Before entering credentials, check the URL carefully. Look‑alike domains and tiny spelling changes are a frequent tactic used in phishing campaigns.

Document everything: screenshots of messages, timestamps, transaction references, and the exact URL you visited. This helps when reporting and when reviewing unauthorized transactions.
